Luke 9.23-24
Is being a disciple the same thing as being saved? 24 suggests yes, but they could also be people of whom much is given and expected, that not everything is expected of everyone to be saved. If not, it could be argued that verse 24 is a big justification for wanting to be martyred, which we know from the written history of the early church was an issue, there were people who actually wanted to be martyred, which isn’t healthy.
