“Demons lie, they use language to deceive humans” a quote from a Japanese anime about an elf, possibly written by someone Buddhist, is probably an unusual source for such as blog as this but it is none the less true, written by someone who clearly has a understanding of evil.
Jesus described the devil as a liar:
” 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44
as did Paul:
“14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14
There are many examples of this
- The King of Belgium created the International African Association and donations from European cities under the promise of uplifting Congo’s inhabitants, but instead he enslaved them and slaughtered half their population.
- Many Catholic priests have been outed as paedophiles
- The Paedophile Information Exchange was affiliated to the National Council for Civil Liberties – now Liberty – in the late 1970s and early 1980s (How did the pro-paedophile group PIE exist openly for 10 years? – BBC News)
- Charity workers, such as those who’ve worked for Oxfam, have been revealed to be predators, Ted Bundy also volunteered at a charity, a number of serial killers have (Timeline: Oxfam sexual exploitation scandal in Haiti | Oxfam | The Guardian)
- “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”, is a law of propaganda often attributed to the Nazi Joseph Goebbels
- Millions of working men in communist Russia and China were slaughtered in the name of freeing the working man from oppression, by self serving leaders, those who disagreed branding “enemies of the state”
- Napolean did away with the monarchy only to set himself up as a dictator calling himself an Emporer (ie, a monarch). Lenin and Chairman Moa effectively did the same thing
- On 7 October 2023 terrorists from Gaza slaughtered over a thousand civilians, inc children, inc babies. They filmed themselves doing it and uploaded these video’s, many of their supporters around the world celebrated it on social media. During the next couple of days they justified these actions as being the necessary actions of an oppressed people, claiming they are the real victims. A year later they are pretending 7/10/23 didn’t happen, many who celebrated it are now claiming Israel is responsible for it, that Israel killed most of those civilians, that Israel commits genocide and kills babies (as if that wasn’t exactly what Gaza terrorists did on 7/10). We all saw the videos, we all saw them admit to it, yet they still have the audacity to claim it didn’t happen or that is wasn’t as bad as it was. This is what evil people do. It’s called gaslighting.
- Antisemites support genocide of Jews and justify it by claiming Israel are committing genocide, this is called Accusation in a Mirror, it’s a common propaganda technique used by both the Nazis and Russian communists. They claim Arab Palestinians are true indigenous people of Israel, despite to irrefutable evidence we have of 3500 of continuous Jewish presence in Israel. They claim Jews are indigenous to Poland, despite most Jews from Poland being killed during WW2 precisely because they weren’t indigenous to Poland. Evil people have no shame, they will lie even when the lie is absurd
- Con men steal from innocent victims everyday by lying
- Many victims on domestic violence reportedly claim “in the beginning he was sweet, he even seemed protective of me, then, slowly, everything changed”. Abusers lie, they pretend they’re different to the people they are, and they lie using gaslighting and projection so their victims question if they had done something to cause this
Evil people lie, but not just lie, they claim they are the opposite of what they are. They claim they are good people but their actions are evil. When they are perpetrators they will claim they are victims – accusing their victims of the very crimes they themselves are guilty of.
We need to recognise this, we live in world of crooks, con men and propaganda, where thanks to the internet lies spread faster and further than ever before. We need to be less gullible, we need judge people by their actions, not by what they claim about themselves or by what religion or political party they claim to be a member of. Some of the most evil people will pretend to be the most virtuous, and this is as true for those who claim to be conservative Christians as those who claim to be vegan, liberal, atheist human rights activists (many of whom have been charged with sexual crimes, including against children). We ALL (Christians, atheists, spiritualists, liberals and conservatives) need to be more discerning and less gullible, question everything.
