Should We Take the Bible Literally?

A source of contention over the years has been the debate about should Genesis be taken literally. Yes, and No – Maybe. The story of Eve – the first woman – destroying paradise for men by disobeying God bears a striking similarity to the story of Pandora – the first woman created by Zeus who destroys the Golden Age of mankind by opening up a jar Zeus told her to not open. Because of the wickedness of mankind Zeus later went on the wipe out all but 2 of the people in Greek using a massive flood – sound familiar? In fact, archaeologists have now agreed that there was a major flood event in ancient times, it’s also being debated whether this could have been caused by an asteroid hitting the Earth (if you ever get a chance I recommend the series Ancient Apocalypse).
